DREAMCODER
tool design
Dreamcoder is a tactile tool for memorising dreams while creating a short ritual for those few seconds after waking up. This tool consists of a set of small free-form entities made of porcelain, the shapes of which are generated by finger gestures.
We can reconstruct a situation or an environment we have just dreamt about by using those objects in a certain composition. By doing this, our brain recalls the dream and locks it in its conscious part, while the object’s form and texture feel pleasant to our fingers.
I see porcelain as a material that enhances the moments of our everyday lives and functions as a portal to untouchable worlds, such as virtual environments or the unconsciousness.
