OPTICS

2026, acrylic sheets, wooden frames, 52x45x4cm

Optics is a series of reflective objects that function as perceptual devices. Positioned in space like small portals, the objects transform the familiar plane of the mirror into unstable optical fields. By destabilising one of the most recognisable architectural surfaces, they introduce subtle shifts in the way space is normally perceived, opening ambiguous visual environments. They disrupt the act of seeing: what appears on their surfaces resists immediate recognition, producing uncertain images. The work explores the desire to look through what surrounds us, rather than simply at it.
