SUSPENDED WAYS OF SEEING
2026, 40x100x0.5cm, acrylic sheets
Suspended Ways of Seeing installs distorted acrylic sheets onto windows, activating them as pattern generators when light passes through and as perceptual filters that abstract the view outside. The work revisits the architectural window, a surface designed for transparency, and proposes distortion as an alternate, equally valid way of seeing. The symbols drawn into the material were recognized as creatures from sleep. Suspended between viewer and landscape, the filters suspend perception in an unresolved state, allowing familiar surroundings to momentarily evade fixed interpretation.
